Pozostawiła po sobie pogrążoną w smutku rodzinę: dzieci Józefa(Marysię) Buzun, Bogusię(Tadeusza) Kozlowski, Anię(Tadeusza) Hyziak, wnuki Christopher(Brianna) Kozlowski, Wojciech(Angelica) Buzun, Tomasz Buzun i swiętej pamięci Arthur Kozlowski, wnuczki Emily(Frank) Qualtier, Michelle Radek, prawnuczki AJ Qualtier, AJ Buzun, Pierson i Kennedy Radek oraz pogrązoną w smutku rodzinę w USA Canadzie i Polsce.

With heavy hearts, we share that our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Zofia Buzun, passed away on September 30, 2026, just days after celebrating her 96th birthday. Born in Poland to the late Kazimierz and Urszula Toczydlowski, Zofia lived a long and full life, and her love reached across generations and continents. Her strength, faith and devotion to family will live on in all of us.

Zofia will be lovingly remembered by her children, Józef (Marysia) Buzun, Bogusia (Tadeusz) Kozlowski and Ania (Tadeusz) Hyziak; her grandchildren, Christopher (Brianna) Kozlowski, Wojciech (Angelica) Buzun, Tomasz Buzun, Emily (Frank) Qualtier and Michelle Radek; and her great-grandchildren, AJ Qualtier, AJ Buzun, Pierson Radek and Kennedy Radek. She also leaves behind many loving relatives in the United States, Canada and Poland. She was preceded in death by her husband Sabin and her beloved grandson, Arthur Kozlowski.

Visitation and prayers will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Skaja Funeral Home, 7812 N. Milwaukee Ave., Niles.

On Tuesday, October 6, family and friends will gather at Skaja Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. for a final farewell and prayer before the procession to St. John Brebeuf Church, 8305 N. Harlem Ave., Niles, where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Zofia will then be laid to rest at Maryhill Cemetery, 8600 N. Milwaukee Ave., Niles.
