Zdzislaw Metel, age 85, passed away peacefully in his home on November 12, 2024. He is survived by his former wife, Zuzanna, and his loving children: Marta (Stanislaw) Pytel, Malgorzata (Waclaw) Lakomy, and Katarzyna Kapuscinska. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Joanna Metel. He was the cherished "dziadziu" (grandfather) of Michael (Grace) Pytel, Kamila (Drew) Burdi, Thomas (Annette) Pytel, Matthew Pytel, and Alex Kapuscinski, and the adored "pradziadziu" (great-grandfather) of Liliana, Ella, Lukas, and Scarlett. Zdzislaw was the devoted brother of Izabela (Jozef) Klejdysz, Eugeniusz (Danuta) Metel, Jozef (Stanislawa) Metel, and Bronislaw (Jadwiga) Metel. He was preceded in death by his siblings Wladyslawa Stoklosa, Hanna Jozefczyk, Stanislaw Metel, and Jan Metel.

Family and friends are invited to attend a private visitation on Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM at SKAJA Terrace Funeral Home, 7812 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Niles. Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 PM at St. John Brebeuf Church. Interment will take place at Maryhill Cemetery.

Zdzislaw will be remembered for his enduring love for his family, his steadfast faith, and the cherished memories he created with those he held dear.

Ostatnie pożegnanie dla rodziny odbędzie się w dniu 14 listopada 2024 w godz. od 10:00 do godz.11:30 rano w SKAJA Terrace Funeral Home 7812 N. Milwaukee Ave. Niles, msza pogrzebowa będzie odprawiona w St. John Brebeuf w Niles o godzinie 12 w południe. Złożenie zwłok na cmentarzu Maryhill w Niles.

W pamięci pozostanie jako tato, dziadek i pradziadek, który ponad wszystko kochał swoją rodzinę. Tato spoczywaj w spokoju.
