William R. "Bill" Alston, 82 of Niles, Beloved husband of Kathleen nee Anderson, dearest father of Mike and John Alston, loving grandpa of Paige, Mackenzie, and Shea Alston, great grandpa of Rayden. Preceded in death by an infant daughter Maria. Bill was a long time resident and Real Estate broker in Niles. He retired as the president and owner of Callero and Catino Realty. A member of the Niles Chamber of Commerce and the person behind countless "I Love Niles" bumper stickers. Aside from being a business owner one of his proudest accomplishments was earning the title of Eagle Scout. An Army veteran, he met his wife Kathy while stationed in Europe. As an avid outdoorsman, Bill enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and shooting sports. His favorite place to spend time with his wife was at his lake house on Pearl Lake. For almost 40 years Bill's summers were spent enjoying all that the lake and area had to offer. He loved spending time with his grand daughters and teaching them many life lessons. He touched many lives in his 82 years and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. The visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home 7812 N.
