Virginia G.
Klichowski
Jun 11, 1935 — Aug 16, 2024
NIles
Virginia G. Klichowski, age 89, preceded in death by her beloved husband Harry.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter's Karen and Kathy.
Daughter of the late Paul and Mary Borowski; dearest sister of Theresa and the late Marion, Paul Jr., Clarence, Dolores, Brother in Law's and Sister in Law's; as well as Aunt to many nieces, great nieces, nephews, and great nephews.
Virginia was born in Chicago and grew up the youngest of six children. She met Harry at a dance and it was love at first sight; they married after dating for two years. They lived in Chicago and Riverdale for a short time before settling in Niles, where they remained for 57 years.
Virginia was a quiet person who was generous, loving, kind and fiercely protective, as well as the sweetest person you could have the honor to meet.
In the last 10 years since Harry passed, Virginia has endured and survived numerous health issues including breast cancer, heart attack, stroke, carotid artery, hysterectomy, congestive heart failure, aorta valve replacement (COVID - which she got while in the hospital) as well as multiple broken bones including 5 right ribs, 5 left ribs, broken nose, twice fractured pelvis, shattered knee cap, broken collar bone, broken right and left hips, broken right and left wrists.
In April 2021 she suffered renal kidney failure and faithfully attended dialysis treatment three days a week for a total of 522 treatments.
Though only 4 foot 10 inches, she was a powerhouse filled with strength, courage and determination packed in such a small body. She was a superwoman, able to survive all her near-death health scares.
Sadly, her last fracture of the femoral condyles in her left leg sent her "non-weight bearing" to a Nursing Rehab facility for 4 weeks. Shortly before her stay at the Nursing Home was completed, she fell ill with pneumonia and made the brave decision to terminate further dialysis.
Virginia, you are no longer where you were, but you are everywhere that I am.
May her soul rest in eternal peace and her memory be a blessing.
