Valerie Pudlo
Valerie Pudlo passed away peacefully at her home on January 2, 2026, at the age of 90, surrounded by the love that defined her life.
Born and raised in Chicago, Valerie was the heart of her family—a devoted wife to Edward for 69 wonderful years and a loving mother to Edward Jr. (Desiree), John, Trish (Ken), and Teri (John). She was a cherished grandmother to Tom (Megan), Curtis (Veronica), Rachael, Kori (Matt), Danielle (Danny), and Mary Jane, and a proud great-grandmother of four. Her family was her greatest joy, and she made each person feel deeply loved and special.
Valerie had a gift for finding beauty in life's simplest treasures—a vibrant red geranium, the moon shimmering on a lake, or quiet moments with her children. She was a woman of grace and many talents, devoted to her faith and her church, and held a deep love for our Blessed Mother. Her countless rosaries were prayers woven with hope and care for everyone she loved.
She never missed a birthday, anniversary, or milestone, always sending a card or making a call that warmed your heart. Her kitchen was a place of magic—her Spritz cookies, toffee bars, and Jello were legendary and will forever be part of family memories.
Valerie will be remembered for her beauty, kindness, and unwavering love. Though we will miss her dearly, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
"Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day—unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and forever dear."
