Travis (Tj)
Michael Reedy Jr.
Dec 13, 1999 — Jun 26, 2026
Niles
Travis Michael Reedy Jr. (TJ)
It is with profound sadness that the family of Travis Michael Reedy Jr., known to all as TJ, announces his unexpected passing on June 26, 2026, at the age of 26. He was a resident of Niles, Illinois. TJ brought immense love, laughter, and joy to everyone who knew him.
TJ was born on December 13, 1999, to Tina Luppino and Travis Reedy, Sr. From the very beginning, he brought joy to his parents with his infectious smile, striking blue eyes, boundless curiosity, and strong sense of self.
His passions reflected his curious, fun-loving nature, spanning interests that were social and athletic. As a strong and skilled hockey player, TJ brought intense energy to the ice. He also shared a deep appreciation for mechanics and style, frequently attending car shows, and riding motorcycles. Professionally, he channeled his technical and creative mind into designing renderings and executing events with his father, consistently displaying his unique talent and vision.
Some of TJ's happiest moments were spent outdoors in the company of those he loved. He especially cherished hunting and fishing alongside his brother, father, uncle, and grandfather. He also loved spending sunny days on the water with family and friends in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
TJ took great pride in how he presented himself, paying special attention to his personal style, fashion, and physical fitness. He loved working out at the gym and was always encouraging others to get the right nutrition and take care of themselves. Though he sometimes could not resist a late-night Taco Bell run or ordering Papa John's through Uber Eats, where he inevitably ended up talking with the delivery drivers and making new friends at 1:30 in the morning.
Above all, TJ was selfless, authentic, and empathetic. Possessing a natural warmth and kindness, he drew people to him effortlessly. He was a fiercely loyal friend and took joy in spending time with them and their common interests. Whether introducing someone to the gym, hockey, boating, airsoft or another hobby he loved, TJ had a gift for encouraging others, making them feel welcome, and ensuring they had everything they needed to succeed. He made sure everyone felt included.
As a child, he asked friends attending his birthday parties to bring gifts for children in the hospital instead of for himself. Each December, he proudly dressed as Santa Claus to personally deliver those gifts and bring holiday magic to young patients, a direct connection to Toys for Tots. He took immense pride in being a positive role model and mentor to his younger brother, Tytan. His final act of selflessness was becoming an organ donor, a gift that will allow his generosity and spirit to live on through others.
TJ is survived by his devoted parents, Tina Luppino; Travis, Sr. and Cassandra Reedy; and his beloved brothers, Tytan, Luka, and Dutton Reedy. He also leaves behind his cherished grandparents, Edward and Phyllis Luppino, and Toni Urcina; his loving aunts, Jade Urcina and Joella Jones; and his dear uncles, Frank Luppino and Croix Urcina, alongside a large extended family and countless close friends who will miss him deeply.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation and wake on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home, located at 7812 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL. Visitation hours will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will take place and will remain private for the immediate family only.
