In Loving Memory of Theresia Gross

Theresia Gross (née Flock), age 104, of Niles, Illinois, was born in Indija, Serbia. She passed away peacefully, leaving behind a loving family and a lifetime of cherished memories. She was the beloved wife of the late Johann Gross and the loving mother of Hans, the late Andy, and Joseph. She was a cherished grandmother to the late William, Susan, and Alexander, and a proud great-grandmother to Greyson, twins Carter and Ryland, and Sawyer. Theresia adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and treasured every moment she shared with them. Theresia was the beloved sister of Peter, Andreas, Efie, and Magdalena. She was the last surviving sibling of her family. She was a dedicated volunteer and longtime member of the Society of the Danube Swabians, where she served as a cashier and other positions for many years. She was also well known and loved for her wonderful baking talents, sharing her delicious traditional baked goods with family, friends, and the Donauschwaben community. Theresia will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her generous spirit, her love of tradition, and the many years she dedicated to the Donauschwaben community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.

Visitation: Wednesday, September 30, 2026 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon at the Skaja Terrace Funeral Home 7812 North Milwaukee Avenue Niles, Illinois with services following at 12:00 noon.

Burial will follow at the chapel at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles.
