Sebastian Volpe, age 95, beloved father of Rino (Linda) and Nick, and grandfather of Nina, passed away peacefully on Friday June 14th at home with his loving sons.
Sebastian was born in Carbonara, Italy and emigrated to the United States at the age of 18. Sebastian served his country proudly during the Korean War while stationed in Austria. He met and married the love of his life, Dina Menolascina, and they were happily married for 57 years before she preceded him in death in 2017. He inspired a love of all things mathematical in his granddaughter and through the years, they bonded over solving many math problems.  He was an engineer who enjoyed gardening, baking (Nonno Bob made the best pies!), and spending time with his family. Sebastian was preceded in death by his parents, Gennaro and Anna Volpe, his brother, Nicola, and his sister Vincenza.
