Sebastian S. Hautzinger

November 27, 1959 – March 26, 2026

Sebastian S. Hautzinger, age 66, of Niles, Illinois, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 26, 2026. Sebastian was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Katharina Hautzinger. Sebastian is survived by his four siblings, Joseph Hautzinger (Cindy), Anton Hautzinger (Pam), Franz Hautzinger (Brenda) and Anna Hautzinger (John Price), in addition to four nieces, three nephews, and one great-niece.

Sebastian was a voracious reader, illustrated by the fact that his collection of books could fund a small library (it isn't hoarding if it's books!). He also was an avid chess player and bicyclist. He was always willing to help when needed, especially if offered leftovers as a thank you. He was a quiet and generous soul who left us too soon.

Visitation will be held at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home on Saturday, May 2, from 11am until 12:30pm followed by a luncheon. Memorials to Chicago Library Foundation www.cplfoundation.org would greatly be appreciated.
