Sam Sorejian, husband of Anoush Sorejian, passed away peacefully on the morning of December 13th. Sam was born on April 13th, 1956 in Amman, Jordan and was the son of the late Krikor Sorejian and Rozine (Demerjian) Sorejian.

Sam immigrated to the United States in 1967 at the age of 11.  Despite the culture shock, Sam was studious, and worked hard in school. He pursued a bachelors of political science from Loyola University Chicago, graduating in 1978. Then went on to earn a masters in International Politics from Northeastern.

Sam met the love of his life, Anoush, in 1990 and they were married later in the year. Sam and Anoush spent a wonderful 34 years together. They were blessed with two daughters, Annie and Nora. Sam's daughters will always be his pride and joy. Unfortunately, Sam faced many hardships with his health this past year. Sam displayed relentless strength.

Sam is also survived by his two sisters, Anahid Sevdagian and Roupina Mekhjian. Sam was a cherished son, husband, father, brother, and uncle.

How lucky we all are to have been touched by his infectious smile, kind heart, and unwavering love.  He had a heart of gold, and gave his family the world. He will always be in our hearts. Thank you for being the greatest role model, a true exemplary husband and father. As your girls reach each milestone in their life, we know we will feel your presence. This is the greatest pain we have ever known. Miss you forever. You are the strongest person we will ever know.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 20th, 2024 at Armenian Apostolic Church. Location: 1701 Greenwood Rd, Glenview, IL 60026. Visitation/viewing: 9am-10am. Followed by Prayer services 10am-11am.  Funeral Services to be held at Ridgewood Memorial Park. Location: 9900 N Milwaukee Ave, Des Plaines, IL 60016. Meal of mercy to follow.
