Richard was born on May 9, 1946, to the late John and Antoinette Zych in Chicago, IL where he lived most of his life.

Richard was the beloved brother-in-law of Diana, loving uncle of Chris, Dave (Eunkyung Oh) and Michael (Sarah Dugan).  He was the cherished great uncle of Maya, Matthew, Jinseong, Kyle and Abby. Richard was the dear brother of the departed Leo.

Richard was known to many as "Uncle Rich" and welcomed everyone into his heart and his home. He will be remembered for his kindness, humor and youthful soul.

Visitation at the Skaja Terrace Funeral Home 7812 N. Milwaukee Avenue Niles on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of service 10:00 AM. Entombment St. Adalbert Mausoleum.
