Michael "Mike" Jakubow, age 71, of Chicago, formerly of Niles, Illinois, passed away suddenly on March 7, 2026.

Mike was the beloved son of the late Marian and Anna Jakubow; brother of Nadia (Edward "Henry") Krynski, Mary (John) Baccheschi, and the late Danuta (John) Huston; uncle of Jason (Megan), David, and Valerie Krynski; Eric (Mariah) and Marc (Brae) Huston; Patrick (Anna) and Ryan (Jordan) Burke, Lindsay (Dustin) Manovski, and Andrew and Alex Baccheschi; and a great-uncle to many.

In keeping with Mike's wishes, there will be no formal funeral service, but a private memorial will be held for the immediate family. His family appreciates your understanding, respect for their privacy during this time, and encourages those who knew him to honor his memory in whatever way feels right to them. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Skaja Terrace Funeral Home.
