Mary Jane Terpinas , age 88, fell asleep in our Lord on November 14, 2024

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the daughter of the late Peter and the late Tulla (nee Bakiras) Rodopoulos-Kalpedis and sister of Constance "Connie" Rodopoulos.  After her parents died, she spent teen years with family in Chicago.  She Married the late William Terpinas Sr. after graduating high school.

Moved to Niles, Illinois in 1957.  Mother of the late Presvytera Tulla (Fr. Theodore) Poteres, Tina (Mark) Retondo, and William (Laurie) Terpinas.  Yiayia to Nicholas (Niki) Poteres, Presvytera Toni (Fr. Chris) Mihalopoulos, Rebecca (Cory) Burns, Vanessa (Mitchell) Harris, Joseph (Aaron) Retondo-Rogers, Jake and Andrew.  Pro Yiayia to Eleni, Teddy, Alexander, Luke, Theo, Paul, Zoe, Sophia, Logan, Margaux, and Tulla.

Mary Jane served on various executive boards of charities and fraternal organiziations as well as a Culver School volunteer: Niles Police Auxilliary, Area Chairman for the March of Dimes, Officer of the Cheiron Chapter of the Daughters of Penelope, VFW Woman's Auxilliary. But her greatest joy of volunteerism was the Director of Children's Religious Education at her home parish of St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church for 50 years.

Her life philosophy "We are here for each other..."

Lying in State Wednesday November 20, 2024 at St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church 133 S. Roselle Rd. Palatine, IL 60067 from 9:30 AM until the time of the Funeral Services 10:30 AM.  Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery.  Funeral information 847-966-7302
