Mary L. DeSalvo, age 91, passed away from heart failure, at her home in Chicago, on July 15th, 2022. She was predeceased by her husband, Chester DeSalvo, on 01/22/2005. Mary is survived by her brother, Father Rene Schatteman of Opus Dei; her daughter, Mary Louise Geryol (John); her sons, Timothy DeSalvo; Leonard DeSalvo (Lori); and Tony DeSalvo (Patricia). She was blessed with four grandchildren, Megan Zavacos (Gianni); Margaret DeSalvo; Patrick Geryol (Heather); and Daniel DeSalvo (Megan). Mary was also very blessed with six great grandchildren, Vasilios Zavacos; Giuditta Zavacos; Alyssa Geryol; Johanina-Skilo Zavacos; Nevaeh DeSalvo; and Ryan Geryol.

Funeral services will be held at St. Juliana Catholic Church 7201 N. Oketo Ave. in Chicago. Visitation will be at the rear of the church from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM with Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM. Interment and final prayers at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles at the Chapel. Luncheon to follow at Amici's Restaurant in Niles.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , our mother's favorite charity.
