Obituary

Marilyn Pearl Weaver, only daughter of Casmir (Casey) and Pearl Guzynski Weaver passed away on August 22, 2022. Her father Casey, mother Pearl and brother Robert preceded her to their eternal home, her brother, Daniel Weaver of Niles, Illinois survives.

In high school, Marilyn was a pom pom girl, majorette in the marching band and a semi-professional ice skater. She earned three college degrees from Northeastern Illinois University. During her lifetime, she was an entrepreneur, owned a design company and rental properties, held a patent, bred ostriches, (her favorite being "Thunder Thighs"), and she appeared in approximately forty movies. For twenty years, Marilyn helped decorate floats for Mardi Gras in New Orleans, she was active with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and she helped with the "Half Time Shows" for Super Bowl for several years.  Marilyn was a world traveler, she visited 92 countries and lived in 10 of them. She had friends all over the world with whom she stayed in contact throughout her life. After retiring, she enjoyed watching "One Eyed Jack" an alligator that swims in Lake Olympia, watched banana's grow and just enjoyed the world from her own backyard.

Thank you to the Lymphoma/Myeloma staff at MD Anderson; Houston, TX, Northwestern Hospital; Lake Forest, IL and Advocate Condell Hospital; Libertyville, IL. A special thank you to The Encompass Health Rehabilitation Institute of Libertyville and Thrive of Lake County in Mundelein, IL for your loving care in her last days. We believe that Marilyn was given bonus time on earth because of these health care institutions.
