Lorraine graduated from St. Stanislaus Elementary School and St. Aloysius High School in Chicago. She married William Goorsky III in 1947, raised her family in Niles, Illinois, and was a parishioner at St. John Brebeuf for 70 years, where she often volunteered. She enjoyed poker nights with her neighborhood lady friends, loved travelling to visit family worldwide, and delighted opening her house to any and all. After 40 wonderful years of marriage, William passed. At her 50th year grammar school reunion Lorraine was reacquainted with Edward Bartosch, whom she married in 1994. They happily celebrated life together for 28 years before Ed's passing in 2023.
"Grandma" loved meeting people, always had a quick and witty response to everyone who greeted her, a wide smile that lit up the room, and her laugh - let's just say we always knew where she was! She will be greatly missed.
