LaVerne Virginia Wieszcholek, nee Gerstung, age 97, beloved wife of the late Walter Wieszcholek; loving mother of Robert (Nancy), Dennis (Margie), Michael (Jeannie) and Mary Beth (Chris Johnson dear friend); proud grandmother of Katherine (James) Culotta, Margaret (Andrew) Nolan and Kevin (Megan), Renee Wieszcholek (Rawlston Charles) Tessa Wieszcholek (Nate Henderson) and Kailyn (Bryan) Morgan; doting great grandmother of Mary, James, Patrick, Eddie, Alex, Tommy and Johnny. LaVerne was a lifelong Cubs fan and a proud hospital volunteer. She enjoyed making her own special occasion cards for family and friends and looked forward to Wednesday night board games. Visitation Monday May 8 ^th 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the Skaja Terrace Funeral Home, 7812 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, Il. Funeral Tuesday May 9 ^th 9:30 am to St. Juliana Church for Mass at 10:00 am. Interment All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital or to the American Cancer Society appreciated.
