Krzysztof "Chris" P. Czerniejewski peacefully passed away on November 14, 2022 at Niles Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where he was a resident.

Chris was born in Chicago, IL on March 29, 1963 to Piotr and Marta Czerniejewski. He grew up in the Chicago area and graduated in 1981 from Main East High School in Niles, IL. As a child Chris enjoyed outings with his older sister and cousin. Chris worked most of his adult life in the Chicago area as a professional mechanic and electrician. He was very knowledgeable about his trades and was always willing to help others with a project. Chris was devoted to his family—he made a point to be involved in his nieces' and nephews' lives, to attend special family events, and always had a way of livening up a party with his jokes. Chris was an admirer of classic rock music and an avid hockey fan. He had a love and kindness toward animals, particularly dogs. At a gathering, one could often find him throwing a ball or scratching behind our dogs' ears. He will be missed dearly by many.

Chris is survived by his sister Elizabeth (Donald) Smith, nephew Jason (Cynthia) Smith, niece Adele (Philip) Green, nephew Michael (Kendra) Smith, Aunt Henryka Przeslak, eight grand- nieces and nephews, and several cousins in the United States and in England.

Visitation Wednesday, November 23, 2022 from 10:00am at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home, 7812 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL. Until the Service at 12:00 noon. Interment Maryhill Cemetery.
