Katherine Jane Kreuser , age 88.  Kathy was born November 24, 1937 and passed away on Good Friday April 3, 2026.  Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Joseph P. Kreuser and Elizabeth "Elsie" Kreuser nee Buzecky; dear sister of Nancy Bystrom, Rosemary Ferrarini and the late Joseph P. Kreuser; beloved aunt of Della Marie Hanson, Anita Stroch and Caroline Drennan; fond cousin to many.

Kathy lived in the same house on N. Naper Ave. for over 70 years, before moving to Norwood Crossing Retirement Community.  Kathy graduated from 8th grade at Burbank School in Chicago in 1952 and Jesse Spalding high school - Chicago in 1956 and from Rosary College in River Forest in 1960.

Afflicted with Cerebral Palsy since birth, Kathy never let her affliction slow her down or keep her from bringing joy to others.  She was editor of a newsletter for the handicapped, tutored high school students and traveled the world including Hawaii, Mexico, France, Italy, Australia and New Zealand.  A devout Catholic, she visited Lourdes, Fatima and received Holy Communion from Pope John Paul II in Rome.  She was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish for many years.

Katherine will be Lying in State at Immaculate Conception Church 7211 W. Talcott Ave. Chicago, IL. on Thursday April 9, 2026 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.  Interment All Saints Cemetery.  For more funeral info call 847-966-7302.  Arrangements by Skaja Terrace Funeral Home
