Karen Diane Masuda passed away suddenly on November 24th 2024, at Swedish Covenant Hospital. Karen was born on June 12th 1958, in Chicago Illinois, to the late George and Annelies (Creutz) Matej.  She is survived by her husband, Pat, of 43 years. Dear sister to the late Connie (Carson), the late Paul Matej, and best friend to the late Donna Karakleich. Her loving spirit is carried on by her husband, Pat; Brother in law Gary (Connie), Sister in law Nancy (Paul); Nieces: Andrea (Ryan) Paulsen, Jenny (Rick) Rea, Michelle Carson, Vicki (Brian) Emmel, Kirstin (Dan) Fiedor, Alyssa Matej and great nieces and nephews: CJ, Hunter, Marina, Paul and Elodie. Karen was a Cousin, Friend and Teammate to so many. She was a beacon of unwavering friendship and kindness, her smile and fun loving nature, will be remembered by all who knew her. The visitation will be held at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home 7812 N. Milwaukee Ave. Niles, on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM. Interment will be private.
