Judy K. Harlan, age 69 passed away February 8 at Journey Care Hospice in Barrington. She was born on July 22, 1953 in Chicago, the daughter of William and Agnes (Sum) Balcer. She was employed at Abbott Laboratories for 19 years as a quality specialist, which is where she met her husband John, they married on November 14, 1987. Once retired she became active in her children's lives with Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and even served as PTO President. Judy became a doting grandmother after the birth of her first grandson, she was loved and will be missed by many. She is survived by her husband John, her children Katie (Brandon) Wolff, and Jimmy Harlan, her grandchildren Mason ans Emma Wolff, and a sister Sue (Tom) Gatti. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Kathleen. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:30 AM until the time of the Funeral Service 1:00 PM at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home 7812 N.
