John Jurowicz, age 80, husband of Christine, passed away on October 6, 2022. He was the father of Hannah (Dathan) and good friend to his many neighbors, colleagues, and students. A life-long Chicagoan, John was a three-time graduate of Loyola University (Ph. D., M. Ed., B.S.) after graduating from Weber High School.

Before retiring at 76, John was a Professor of Psychology at Lewis University. He enjoyed fishing, reading about history, crossword puzzles, woodworking, feeding people and animals, and taking day-trips to Wisconsin for beverages and brats. He lovingly restored antique furniture and built beautiful, detailed models of castles, stables, and houses for friends in the neighborhood. Most of all, John was always there to help and feed friends, strangers, and animals alike. He will be so very missed.
