John Thomas Hartzler, age 85; passed away comfortably on December 22nd, 2024 at JourneyCare Hospice in Barrington, IL.

John was the father of Karen (Ron) Perry, Janet (Scott) Tulloch, Linda (Peter) McDonagh, John (Carrie) Hartzler, and Rob (Lisa) Hartzler; grandfather of Heather, Allison, Adrian, Katherine, Gracie, Christopher, Chris, Cristina, Bradley, Thomas, Jacob, Joshua, and Abigail; great-grandfather of McKenzie, Caia, Amara, Luca, Sophia, Elias, Sawyer, Isaac; He is survived by siblings Sarah Miller and Delmar Hartzler.

John was preceded in death by wife Katherine Agnes (Schenk) Hartzler, his parents Jesse and Bertha Hartzler, and siblings Grace Hartzler, Jean Cavanaugh and Jay Hartzler.
