John C. Farr, 73 years, was born in Poland and immigrated to Chicago, IL USA in 1980 where he met Halina, his wife of 42 years. John was a loving husband and showered Halina with beautiful clothes from his many travels. He was a devoted son to his late mother, Marianna. Among his many endeavors John hosted a business program on Polish radio and was an assistant to both the Polish and Japanese consulates in Chicago. John lived life by his own terms and loved to travel, especially to Paris and anywhere with generous sunshine. John enjoyed tennis, bike riding and spending time with his dear friends. He faced his mortality with bravery and compassion for those he loved. John was proud of his American citizenship and lived by the creed "God, country and honor."
