Joan Christine Mendrick, nee Vorderbrueggen, passed away after a long illness at the age of 76. Beloved wife of the late Frank R. Mendrick. Loving mother of Richard Wade (Bethany) Aztlan and Matthew R. (Asako) Danalewich. Treasured Grandmother "Mema" to Renee Aztlan and Reagan Aztlan. Dearest sister to John "JB" (Annie) Vorderbrueggen, James Robert (Mary Ann) Vorderbrueggen, Joseph (Lisa) Vorderbrueggen and Mary Jane (David) Wheeler. She was dedicated to her extended family and friends, both nearby and far away. Joan was a retired Registered Nurse, serving at several area hospitals including Lutheran General Hospital. Joan was a devout believer, and follower of Jesus Christ. She is with Him in heaven. She will be missed dearly by so many.
