Helen C. Kobylanski nee Swidlikiewicz, age 92, born May 20, 1931 in Chicago, IL. and passed away on August 19, 2023 in Rhinelander, WI from surgical complications.  Helen was raised in Chicago on a street full of many aunts and uncles including her grandmother and grandfather, with whom she spent every day after school. They fueled her lifelong love of coffee, "no water please"!!  She attended Resurrection High School and was top in her class in math.

She worked evenings so she could be with her children during the day.  She did volunteer work after retirement and moved to Iron River, Mi seventeen years ago. She was a whiz at grammar and spelling and loved crossword puzzles and sudoku, Boggle champion.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, John, mother Mary, father Bernard, sister Lil, and brother Ted. She is survived by her son Mark (Linda), daughter Claudia (Steele) Magnet, as well as grandsons, Jason, John(Bekki), Eric, Mike (Meghan) and granddaughter Robin. Great grandchildren, John II, Railynn, Jackson and Camden, as well as many special nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday August 25, 2023 from 10:00 AM until Time of Service 11:00 AM at the Skaja Terrace Funeral Home 7812 N. Milwaukee Ave. Niles, IL.  Interment Maryhill Cemetery.  For more info call 847-966-7302
