Geraldine C. Wolski (nee Obecny), 97, of Niles, Illinois, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 26, 2026. Geraldine was born on August 20, 1929 to Louis and Elizabeth Obecny in Chicago, IL

Predeceased by her husband, Robert, daughter Debra, sister Isabelle (Leonard L Maczek), brothers Louis (Emily) and Thomas (Patricia).

Survived by her daughters, Janet (Robert) Loerzel and Wendy (Edgar) Litwitz along with her grandchildren, Kelly Litwitz, Scott Litwitz, Eric Loerzel, Kevin Loerzel and many nieces and nephews. She was a hard-working, independent and resilient woman that befriended all that came into her life.

Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pm on Thursday October 1, 2026, at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home, located at 7812 N Milwaukee Ave in Niles, IL 60714

The prayer service will be on Friday, October 2nd at 11:30am at the funeral home, with burial immediately following at Maryhill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Geraldine’s memory to the American Heart Association.
