Obituary

Evelyn Boos passed away peacefully in June 2026.

Evelyn was born and raised in Chicago IL, the 7th of seven children of Josephine and Peter Ksiazek.  In 1947 she married the love of her life, Robert Boos to who she was married until his death in 2007.  They initially lived in Chicago for ten years and then moved to Park Ridge, IL in 1957 where she stayed until her passing. During her long and eventful 100 year life she was a loving wife, sister, and mother of 5.  Eve and Bob loved travel, skiing, and general adventuring, traits that thankfully were handed down to their children and friends.  They were hard working and were devoted to the teachings of the Catholic Church.  They loved to socialize including square dancing, roller skating and celebrating the holidays.  Bob & Eve were avid skiers, teaching many to love skiing with many joining them on trips to Aspen, Vail and Breckenridge. She skied for 45 years until she was 85.  They loved camping via motorhome and vacationed in most of the 50 states including two trips to Alaska.  Many fond memories with her 5 children and their families were had over holidays, events, and vacations.  Evelyn loved to decorate her home, beautiful flowers, a good joke, reading, long talks, and she never missed sending a card to those she loved. Evelyn had many close friends and family, she volunteered at her children's schools, assisted needy people and was committed to supporting developmentally disabled at Avenues to Independence.  Life was good to Evelyn and she was good to others as she was known for her giving of her time, generosity and heart felt gift giving.

Loving mother to Carole (David) Lienau, Kenneth (Cynthia) Boos, Jeffrey (Kate) Boos, Bradley (Carol) Boos and special mother to Cindy Krupski, cherished grandmother to Colleen (Chinh) Pham, Brian (Megan) Boos, Michael (Tayler) Boos, Gregory Boos, Barrett (Daniella) Boos, Alexander Boos, Kayla Boos Kovar and Keith Boos, beloved great grandmother to Owen, Ryan, Branden, Mason, Halle, Emily, Dean and Nicholas.  Devoted sister to Edward, Helen, Estelle, Albina, Lillian & Emily. Fond "Auntie Eve" to many nieces and nephews.

Evelyn's long life will be celebrated at a wake at Skaja Funeral Home 7812 N. Milwaukee Ave, Thursday 07/16/26 4-8PM and at Mass as St Paul of the Cross Church on Friday 07/17/26 at 10AM.  Interment to follow the funeral at All Saints Cemetery, Lunch to follow at Colletti's Restaurant 5707 N.
