Eva
Krasicki
Mar 15, 1928 — Nov 5, 2025
San Ramon
Eva Krasicki, age 96, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, in San Ramon, California after a long and courageous battle with dementia. Born on March 15, 1929 in Basnia Dolna-Lwowskie in Poland, she lived a long life filled with kindness, unwavering resilience and love for her family.
Eva was the beloved wife of the late Walter Krasicki when they fell in love at the end of World War II in Germany and they were married for 65 years until his passing in 2010. Dad lovingly called her "Kitchew" which means Kitten. After living in France they immigrated to Chicago in 1955 with their son, Wally and built a life of hard work trying to get ahead. In 1972 they began their own business manufacturing harps as W & W Musical Instrument Company/Venus Harps and led a very successful family business.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Donna and son-law-Greg, along with their children Steven and Amanada who emotionally supported her during this difficult time in California. Her son Walter also survives her as do her granddaughters Michelle and Nicole and great-grandchildren Madelyn, Ana, and Bryce.
She was predeceased by her devoted husband Walter, daughter-in-law Denise (Krasicki) and son-in-law Tim (Cekal).
Eva will be remembered for her kind heart, sweet nature, generous spirit, spunky personality and outstanding pierogi! Even as dementia took its toll in recent years, she remained gentle and loving until the very end. Her strength through suffering was matched only by the grace with which she faced each day.
Eva is now reunited with her beloved husband Walter. A viewing will be held on November 17, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home 7812 N. Milwaukee Avenue in Niles with an 11:30 mass at All Saints Polish Cathedral at 9201 W. Higgins Road, Chicago. Entombment at All Saints Polish National Cemetery. Funeral info: 847-966-7302.
