Eugenia Grochowski (nee Antowicz), 92, of Northvale, NJ, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026. Beloved wife of 57 years of Stanislaw Grochowski. Loving mother of Kathryn Gavosto and her husband Stefan and Mark Grochowski. Caring grandmother of Stefan and Sophia. She was predeceased by her 6 siblings.

Eugenia was born and raised in Poland. After earning her M.D., she came to the United States of America in the late 1960s. Determined to keep practicing medicine, she learned English and passed her medical boards again in a language that was still new to her. She continued her work as a doctor, at various hospitals throughout Chicago, IL and in her own practice.

Visitation Thursday November 5, 2026 at SKAJA Terrace Funeral Home 7812 North Milwaukee Avenue Niles, Illinois 60714 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Funeral Prayers Friday November 6, 2026 at the Funeral Home beginning at 9:15 AM to St. Hyacinth Basilica in Chicago, IL for a 10:00 AM Mass.

Entombment will be at the St. Adalbert Mausoleum in Niles, IL
