Eugene J. Rogoz, 87, died peacefully at home on February 13, 2024 in Woodridge, IL.  Eugene "Gene" was raised in Chicago, IL attending Lane Tech High School and later served his country in the U.S. Army being stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska.  He returned home to start a long career with Illinois Bell Telephone Co., where he attained Manager status.  He loved the outdoors and enjoyed time with his friends at the Downers Grove Sportsmen's Club where he pursued his hobby of trap shooting.

Gene was a proud father and is survived by his children Mike (Renee), Mark (Von Wright), Kathy (Paul) Martin, Matt (Jamie), and Deb.  He was a loving grandfather to Andy, Kyle, Tiffany, Tony, J.D., Samantha, Riley, Zack, Ben, Rachel, Marlee, and Avery and great-grandfather to JJ, Evie, Gabriel, and Aksel.  Gene is also survived by several brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was welcomed home to Heaven by his beloved wives Geraldine and Joan, along with his adored dogs Mishka, Brandy, Duke, Casey, Luke and Shep.  Gene is also preceded in death by his parents, John and Frances, sister, Dorothy and niece, Sharon.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024 at St. Scholastica Church 7800 Janes Ave. Woodridge, IL. 60517 from 10:00 AM until time of Memorial Mass at 10:30 AM.

Private interment to follow at a future date.  In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gene's name to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
