Obituary

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Elize Azizian, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Elise was born in Jerusalem, the daughter of Ovsanna and Haroutune Leblebijian. One of 5 siblings, she grew up in Jerusalem. She was married to Sarkis Azizian in Jerusalem, where they lived until they moved to Amman, Jordan. They lived there for several years before coming to the United States in 1957, where they settled in Columbus, Ohio. They moved to Chicago to be with her sister Takuhi Artinian. Elize lived in their Skokie home until her passing. Elize was a kind, caring, loving remarkable woman of deep Christian faith. She dedicated her life to her family, loved her 3 children and tended to their every need. She was also a life long member of the Red Cross at the Armenian Church. She is survived by her children Serope Azizian, Rose (James) Carcich, and George (Denise) Azizian; her four grandchildren James Carcich, Christopher Carcich, April (Azizian) Lindgren, and Jordan Azizian; and one great granddaughter Quinn Carcich. She was preceded in death by her husband Sarkis in 1987. She will be remembered by her entire family and friends as a most loving, generous, beautiful woman who brough immense joy to their lives.
