Delmis Mesa (nee Morejon), age 98, daughter of the late Fermin and Luz Morejon, treasured wife of the late Ruben Mesa; devoted stepmother of late Ruben I. (Sally) Mesa; beloved grandmother to Lourdes (Robert) Gonzalez, Tery (Augusto) Delgado, Dr. Ruben (Kristen) Mesa III, Marco (Elyne Tran) Mesa, Anna (Matthew McAlpine) Mesa; loving great grandmother to Augusto (Katherine) Delgado, Ricardo (Emily) Delgado, Antonio (Mallory Heims) Gonzalez, Alejandro (Mikayla Gear) Gonzalez, Ruben Mesa IV, Katherine Mesa;  cherished great great grandmother to Beatriz, Calliope, Felix, Ruben and Marisol and treasured sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend to many.

Originally from Pinar del Rio Cuba, see emigrated to the United States where she and her husband worked incredibly hard to build a new life. She and her husband worked at Rego where she eventually earned her GED and was promoted to work in the Quality Control department. She was always grateful for the time that she spent with her family and dear friends in Chicago and Miami.

Visitation followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary of the Woods Friday 09/02/2022 10:00 am. Interment Maryhill Cemetery.  For more info call 847-966-7302.
