Dariusz
Walus
Jan 22, 1972 — Nov 10, 2025
Arlington Heights
Dariusz "Darek" Walus, 53, of Arlington Heights, Illinois, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in the early morning of November 10, 2025. Darek courageously battled lung cancer after being diagnosed late 2023.
Born in Augustow, Poland, to Slawomira and Eugeniusz Walus, Darek immigrated to the United States at the age of 20. A few years later, he married the love of his life, Malgorzata Walus, and began his lifelong career as a professional truck driver. Together, they welcomed two children, Kamila and Kuba, and raised a beautiful family.
Darek had a lifelong taste for adrenaline; From his passion for riding motorcycles, playing the drums, and his love for Iron Maiden. He took pride in his growing whiskey collection and had a deep knowledge of cars and planes. His greatest passion, however, was trucking. He spent countless hours on the road as a local truck driver, witnessing beautiful sights and collecting stories from his journeys. In his free time, he traveled across the United States with his beloved motorcycle group.
Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, Darek had a gift for making those around him laugh. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, loyal friend, and a man who lived life to the fullest.
He is survived by his wife, Malgorzata; his children, Kamila and Kuba; his brother and sister, Jarek (Elzbieta) and Monika (Tomasz). He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Wojciech.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Znany z ciętego dowcipu i poczucia humoru, Darek miał dar rozśmieszania otoczenia. Zostanie zapamiętany jako oddany mąż, kochający ojciec, lojalny przyjaciel i człowiek, który żył pełnią życia.
Pozostawił żonę Małgorzatę; dzieci Kamilę i Kubę; brata i siostrę Jarka (Elżbietę) i Monikę (Tomasza). Przed nim odeszli jego rodzice i brat Wojciech.
Będzie go bardzo brakowało wszystkim, którzy go znali i kochali.
