Constance J. Gervase nee Wegerson, age 82, of Gilberts, IL, peacefully entered eternal life on June 27th 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on April 13th, 1944 in Chicago, IL. to the late Joseph and Virginia Wegerson, Connie lived a life defined by her deep faith, quiet humility, and profound devotion to her family and the Catholic Church.  A woman of immense spiritual depth, Connie was a dedicated member of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites committing her daily life to silent prayer, the Holy Rosary, and her devotion to Mary.  Her family takes great comfort in knowing she will be laid to rest in her ceremonial Carmelite scapular, a symbol of her lifelong vocation and her entry into the loving arms of her Creator.

She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Gervase; loving mother of Elizabeth Jeanette Cartwright, David Joseph and Anthony Francis Gervase; cherished grandmother of Amber Francis and Tyler Lee Gervase, Dylan James and Nathan Francis Cartwright; great-grandmother of Mason Nathaniel, Noah Lee Carrillo, Olivia Marilena Gervase, Everett Peregrine White; Aunt of Erin and Bryan Gurney; and dear sister of Ruth "Cookie" Gurney. She is also survived by many cousins, and dear friends within her community.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9th 2026 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home, located at 7812 North Milwaukee Avenue, Niles Illinois.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on July 10th at 11:00 AM at St. John Cantius Church, 825 North Carpenter Street, Chicago, IL. 60642. Interment to follow at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery, 6800 North Milwaukee Ave., Niles IL. 60714.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Discalced Carmelite Monastery Attn: Mother Prioress 949 N. River Road, Des Plaines, IL 60016 ensuring that the prayers she loved so dearly continue to bless others.
