Alice Detkiewicz (née Kondrat) passed away peacefully on February 15th, 2023 in Niles, Illinois. Alice was born in Bielsk Podlaski, Poland on January 12th, 1949.
Alice immigrated to America in the year 1978. She was the definition of a hard working and strong woman who never let anything get in her way. She was an incredible cook whose traditional Polish dishes will be missed tremendously. Alice spoke many languages and helped numerous people who immigrated to America. She was incredibly creative and had numerous hobbies such as painting, sewing, knitting, and crocheting. Most of all, she loved her children and lived to help them become successful and happy.
Alice is survived by her husband Stanley; son Thomas (Patricia) Detkiewicz; daughter Anita (Andrew) Derrig; and her beloved grandson Jack.
A private Memorial Mass will be held at St. Thomas Becket Parish in Mount Prospect, Illinois. Per Alice's wishes, her ashes will be taken to Bielsk Podlaski, Poland to be buried alongside her parents. Funeral info: 847-966-7302
